The brakes are mounted vertically (with horizontal pulley axle) on mechanisms designed for operation in fire risk and explosive conditions. When mounted on the outdoor usage mechanisms the brakes shall be covered with housing to prevent from precipitation and the effects of sun radiation.
TKG-type shoe brakes consist of a mechanical part and a drive (electrohydraulic drive).
Shoe brakes shall be used in the following conditions:
• ambient temperature from –20 to +35˚C;• relevant humidity (98±2)% at (35±2)˚C;
• environment should not contain gases or vapour destructive to metal and rubber.
