Explosion-proof shoe brakes ТКG-200RV, ТКG-300RV, ТКG-400RV, ТКG-500RV, ТКGR-750RV with electrohydraulic pushers furnished with built-in explosion-proof mine electric motor are designed for hold-up and stoppage of shaft mechanisms (mainly of material handling machines) in a braked state with non-operating drive. The brakes are mounted vertically (with horizontal pulley axle) on mechanisms designed for operation in gaseous (methane)-and-dusty coal mines. When mounted on the outdoor usage mechanisms the brakes shall be covered with housing to prevent from precipitation and the effects of sun radiation. The brakes are intended for application in underground mines and premises wherein RV-type electric equipment is allowed to be used. They shall be used in the following conditions: ambient temperature from –20 to +35˚C; relevant humidity (982)% at (352)˚C; environment should not contain gases or vapour destructive to metal and rubber. Standard brakes are designed for the electric mains of 380V, still upon the request of the customer, it’s possible to produce brakes for 127, 380, 660 or 1140V. A shoe brake consists of lever brake unit (1) and an electrohydraulic pusher (2). A lever brake unit is comprised of the base with the levers (4, 5, 6) and shoes (7) mounted on it, an adjustable bolt (8), a rod (9) and a spring (3).
